About our NSS

NSS unit of the college was established in the year 2021-22
A special NSS camp for 7 days is organised every year to Bengaluru North University
Currently there are 100 NSS members actively involved in various activities undertaken by the NSS unit of our college

Vision

To nurture compassionate leaders, dedicated community service and National development, embodying the motto of NSS "Not Me. But You" in every endeavour, fostering a culture of participation in pursuit of national harmony and progress.

Mission

Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility
Utilize their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems
Develop the capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters
Identify the needs and problems of community and involve them in problem solving
Gain skills in mobilizing community participation

NSS Aim

To inculcate social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias
To ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their standard of living and lead a life of dignity
To learn from villagers how they lead a good life, despite the scarcity of resources
To help during natural calamities and man-made disasters by providing food, clothing, and first aid to the victims

NSS Motto

The Motto of NSS "Not Me. But You" is a terse expression
Emphasizes and highlights the importance of welfare for all
Encourages selfless service to society without any personal gain
The expression stands for two things: Forgetting and Surrendering the self, and rendering selfless service to others
"Not Me. But You" fosters the development of selfless attitude and encourages and nurtures the competencies needed for community living and sharing social responsibilities

NSS Special Camp10 November 2025

A three-day NSS Special Camp was conducted by the NSS Unit of Indus Valley College from 10th to 12th November 2025 at Gullahalli, near Sulibele. The camp aimed to promote social service, teamwork, and leadership among students.
